Each July Susquehanna Depot invites you to join in our down home festival! This year's Home Town Days will be better than ever. Our activities will include plenty of Contests and Activities. There will a Festival Kickoff Parade and Fireworks!

Even if you're not from Susquehanna Depot, we'd love to have you visit our town and enjoy the day. There will be a variety of food booths to delight your palate. Saunter around the Craft and merchandise booths while enjoying music from Cool 100.

In the evening, kick up your heels and dance to the music of some local bands. The food and game booths will stay open late to satisfy your hunger and test your luck and skill. Top off the night with a fabulous fireworks display. Listen to the great echoes when fireworks are launched in a river valley!

Parade

What can you expect to see in the parade? The will be bands: Maple City Fife and Drum, Penn Dixie, SCSD HS Band and the Deposit High School Marching Band can be seen and heard; creative Floats including one from the The Red Hatters; Walking groups such as Local Kids on Bicycles, American Legion Color Guard, Boy Scouts, 4H Groups and Sports Groups. As you might expect, there will also be the Classic Cars, Fire Trucks and Emergency vehicles, but there is more. Pickering Farm Equipment is sponsoring an Antique Tractors section. Lost Trail Riders will be there with ATVs. Little Beginnings Miniature Horses is bringing, well you guessed it, Miniature Horses. And possibly we'll even have a Giant Cow from Turkey Hill. Of course there will be dignitaries like Mayor Hurley and the Grand Marshall will be Ron Dubas.

The Parade route is from Susquehanna Community High School, Turnpike Street to Broad Ave, down to West Main St, through town to Front Street and ending at the Firehouse.
Line-up for motorized vehicles is 6pm at the high school. They will travel from the High Sschool to Turnpike St then to Broad Ave to Main St and finally to the Fire Station.
Line-up for walking groups is 6pm at the corner of Pleasant Ave and Turnpike St. They will travel from Pleasant and Turnpike to Broad Ave to Main St. and on to the Fire Station.
Kids on Bikes line up at 6:15pm at the HO Mart on Main St and will travel from there to the Fire Station.

Prizes will be awarded in the categories of Floats, Bikes, Walking Group, Tractors, Fire Trucks and Emergency vehicles, car club, ATVs, and Bands. Want to participate? No Registration Required and you can be in the parade just for fun (without trying for a prize). If you wish, you can bring candy/goodies to toss to parade watchers.
